"I just wanted you and your potential future clients to know what a pleasure it is working with you. As we build our new home in Hull, Massachusetts, it has become obvious how overwhelmed my wife and I would be if it weren't for you. You have all of the details covered. Living in Florida, it simply would have been difficult, if not impossible, to cover all of things you do. And by the way, you listen and respond to our needs. You communicate with our builder and his subs so our interaction is minimized. You coordinate finishes, design, and all that would otherwise fall on us. My wife and I have worked with many designers over the years. You are one of the best! Our new home would be way behind schedule and my wife and I would stressed to the max if you were not there to take the weight of the world off our shoulders." - Jeff and Karen Coffman
“Jeannie is the real deal and JMH Designs is a must have if you are considering a home renovation. Our scope of work included a kitchen, master bath, master closet, guest bath, office make-over, refinished hardwood floors, and repainting throughout. Jeannie led our team by providing design, finish, and construction management services from inception to completion. We would not have been able to do it without her! Jeannie worked with us initially on design/lay-out. She made recommendations we would not have thought about on our own and brought concepts to us we didn’t even know existed. After the initial design stage, there was an endless list of decisions to make: appliances, fixtures, hardware, lighting, finishes, trim, stain, paint. Jeannie continuously turned 10,000 marketplace options into a manageable set of three - all three selected based on what she elicited from us and from the "feel" of our home. She got to know us through questions, photo presentations, home visits, etc. Despite not being very good at describing conceptually what we like, Jeannie was able to make an amazing connection with us. Her first choice was almost always ours, too, even when she gently pushed our comfort zone. During construction, Jeannie was on the ground real-time to influence. She understands the lingo of the various trades - doing the "tile-talk" and the "plumbing-talk" as my husband says - and understands what something might look like at completion that we could not see at the stage of construction we were in. Finally, Jeannie has an amazing network of vendors, including Tosca Woodworking (shout out to Jay) who ultimately connected us with our general contractor. Those inter-relationships helped make our project seamless and we would not have made the connections without Jeannie. When we moved back into our house post-renovation, we absolutely felt "right at home" while being in complete and utter awe of the transformation - the quintessential sign of a great designer. We just couldn't stop admiring what Jeannie helped us accomplish! All in, if you are considering a home renovation, I would not only recommend Jeannie at JMH Design but I would advise you not to do it without her!”
